Toddler Movement	Family Yoga

Toddler Movement: Dance, sing and try out some yoga poses. Designed to help your toddler explore movement through large muscle coordination. Ages 18 months to 4 years old. Parent involvement encouraged. Eight-week session $88. Registration required. Click here for dates and time.

Baby and Me Yoga:
Babies love to move and watch you move, too. Stretches to target your areas of stress (neck, shoulders, back) and tone abdominals. Poses for babies to connect with you and help them digest and sleep better. No yoga experience necessary. Ages: newborn until your baby is crawling circles around your mat. Bring a baby blanket and your sense of humor! Eight-week session $100. Registration required.

Family Yoga
Think Aunt Myrtle in tree pose while little Billy looks on in flamingo pose. All ages, all levels. Laughter required. $18/ family. Check Special Events for next class.

My Smart Hands - Des Moines
Sing, Sign and Read Classes:
Parents and children are invited to join Melissa Wardell, My Smart Hands - Des Moines, for this 45-minute class on the second Sunday of each month as we sing songs, read books, and learn American Sign Language!  Only $10 per family!  No registration is required; just pay at the door.

Baby Sign Language Classes, Level 1 and Level 2:
In a playful, educational, and language-rich environment, parents and children will build their American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary through instruction, interactive games, and songs. You will learn recommended first signs, discuss the benefits of using ASL with infants and toddlers, and practice easy techniques for successfully integrating signs into everyday life. Some of the ASL vocabulary covered includes everyday words, family, food, animals, bed time, people, emotions, weather, and color signs.

In Level 1, participants will learn the ASL alphabet, over 100 signs, and 13 songs, as well as learn how to read and sign several favorite children's books.

Level 2 is for graduates of Level 1 and includes over 120 signs not learned in Level 1, as well as more songs and books.

Cost for each Level is $130 per family ($100 class fee, $30 manual fee). To register for either Level, contact Melissa Wardell, certified instructor, at melissa@mysmarthands.com.
